The Senior Artist role is a pivotal production and creative position within Visualhouse's studios. The primary focus of the role is to provide senior production lead on Visualhouse's work under the guidance of the Regional Director working closely with the Team Director/Team Coordinator on effective management of the technical staff's output and to ensure that client deadlines are met on time and to the highest possible quality and artistic ability.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the studio's projects, in close collaboration with the Team Director/Team Coordinator.

  • To utilize strong artistic and project management skills to take on multiple projects as required, from the receiving of information through to completion, in collaboration Team Director/Team Coordinator.

  • Ensure all files and folders are stored and/or referenced according to the Employee Guide.

  • Any other duties deemed appropriate via discussion with the MD and Team Director/Team Coordinator.

Person Specification

The Senior Artist will be possess exemplary technical and creative ability. They will be proactive, with the drive and natural leadership ability to coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary creative team in collaboration with the studio Team Director/Team Coordinator. They will be highly experienced at working within a deadline-orientated creative environment. Self-motivated, the Senior Artist will be committed to artistry and technical excellence in their work.

  • Natural visual storytelling ability

  • An education in, or informed love of, architecture and design

  • Excellent and in-depth Photoshop, Autodesk 3D Studio Max, and V-Ray knowledge

  • The ability to understand and interpret architectural drawings and concepts

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities

  • Authorized to work in the US

  • Fluent (spoken and written) in the English language

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position and creative environment

  • Excellent and in-depth Photoshop, Autodesk 3D Studio Max, and V-Ray knowledge

  • Artistic instinct and an in-depth understanding of composition

  • The ability to meet deadlines to quality expectations

  • The ability to communicate clearly

  • Creative problem-solving ability

  • Collaborative in approach, sharing any new techniques learnt with other staff members

  • Promptness and professionalism when communicating with clients either verbally or via email

  • The willingness to encourage Mid/Junior Artists, and help develop their skills

  • A genuine commitment to craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail
