At 123 meters in length, Al Lusail is a true sight. Emir of Qatar, the fourth son of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, is the proud owner of this stunning yacht. Qatar is a small country in the Persian Gulf, based on the Qatar Peninsula. Bound by a shared border with Saudi Arabia, this country holds a population of 2 million people is named one of the richest countries in the world.
Al Lusail was built by Lurssen Yachts and designed by H2 Yacht Design. Having been finalized in 2017, this ship holds 36 guests in addition to the 56 person crew. As mentioned previously, the yacht has a total length of 123 meters. This is exactly 1 meter shorter than yacht Katara which is own by Emir’s father. This is a symbol of respect.
In the words of Elliot March and James White - “We approach each project as a unique story. For this project, we have introduced our deep understanding of luxury residential design, into the interior layout resulting in a radical r re- think of how space is used throughout the yacht at different times of day”. The team over at March & White designed the interior 6 decks of the space with a focus on timeless styling, nautical vibes and highly innovative finishes.
Visualhouse worked closely with H2 Design, March & White and Y.CO on communicating the yachts design and aesthetic to the client, through animation, VR and renderings.
“A sublime balance of precise craft on liquid. THis grade of uncompromised perfection cannot be rushed. A superyacht destroys, very elegantly, the notion of instant gratification.”
